7:00 am- Team Photos (available for teams of 15+ ; other stipulations may apply)

8:00 am- Avera Race Expo, Breakfast Buffet, and Survivor Pavilion Open
8:00 am- The Race Begins with the Survivor Start! (Please note that race starts will be staggered)

Visit the Avera Stores!

Stop in the foyer of the fitness center on race morning to visit the Avera Stores! Shop the latest Avera Race merchandise, along with the “Fight Like a Girl” and “Fight Like a Woman” products. The Stores at Avera have all the PINK you’ll need!

Mammogram Scheduling

Schedule your yearly mammogram screening at the race! Scheduling for mammograms will be available on race day from 6am-10am in the Registration Tent on the south lawn of the fitness center. For questions, please call 322-PINK.

10K run, 5K run, 3 mile walk, 1.5 mile family fun walk
Online registration for all events is $30.  The 5K and 10K runs are competitive, officially timed events.  Results will be posted at the event and online following the race.  All competitive participants and race times will also be recognized in a full page congratulatory ad in the Argus Leader following the event.  To ensure the integrity and accuracy of our event database, registration for the 5K/10K runs will close on Friday, May 6.  Runners who register on race day may participate, but will not be timed.

Plan to arrive 30 to 60 minutes early to allow time for parking.  Limited Survivor Parking is available at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center- please wear your PINK survivor shirt that will be included in your race packet in order to take advantage of the survivor parking.  Parking for participants is available at the neighboring shopping mall, the park and area residential streets.  Complimentary shuttles will be available from the Avera Prince of Peace and Holy Spirit Catholic Church parking lots located on Dudley Lane.  Shuttles are scheduled to run every 15 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Avoid parking in city No Parking zones as violators may be ticketed. 

Bring Your Family and Friends 

Everyone can participate in the Avera Race Against Breast Cancer.  The aerobic warm-up, fun walks, expo area and cool-down breakfast are all designed for family fun.  (Please no dogs or rollerblades - we expect a large crowd and want everyone to be safe.)

Race Wear

The first 5,000 registrants will receive a long-sleeved, 100% cotton Avera Race t-shirt, nylon backpack and other giveaways!  T-shirt size substitutions may be necessary.  Free youth t-shirts will be given to the first 500 children who arrive with a registered adult on race day.  Registered children will receive a long-sleeved Avera Race t-shirt, nylon backpack and selected giveaway.  ALL cancer survivors will receive a complimentary survivor t-shirt.  Please note if you are a survivor on the registration form.

We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances.  In that event, there will be no refunds and your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Avera Race Against Breast Cancer.
