Every May (the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend)Races take place across the region, including Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, Marshall, Mitchell, Pierre and Yankton. Whether you choose to walk, run, volunteer or donate, you can support the race — and our neighbors facing cancer — from wherever you are. Each registration or donation to the Avera Race helps advance the compassionate care of patients at Avera Cancer Institute.
Every WinterEach year, this gala raises funds to benefit patients and families receiving care at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, SD. Funds benefit the Caring for Life fund for the hospital.
Every WinterThis annual evening of generosity benefits patients and families at Avera Behavioral Health Hospital by supporting life-changing programs and services. Funds raised help expand therapeutic programs, deliver crisis services and enhance facilities to create welcoming spaces for healing.
Every FallHosted annually in Yankton, SD, this fundraising gala benefits those receiving care at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital. Funds raised at the event go toward supporting various initiatives at the hospital.
Every October
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this program benefits patients and families receiving cancer care at Avera Cancer Institute. Anyone in the community can donate to the Foundation to support cancer patients, while also receiving a pink or purple hair extension at participating Avera locations and salons in the Sioux Falls area and beyond. Pink symbolizes support for breast cancer, and purple represents overall cancer awareness.
Every Spring
This annual fundraiser includes dinner, fellowship and auction items available for bidding, all in support of the compassionate hospice care delivered through Avera@Home Southwest Minnesota to those in the Marshall, MN, area.
This annual celebration in Pierre, SD, raises funds to benefit Avera St. Mary’s Hospital.
Proceeds support the hospital’s health care ministry and future hope and healing for patients and families receiving care.
Every Winter
Avera team members participate in giving during the annual Avera Cares campaign. Every contribution made by Avera employees helps support the most urgent needs of patients while furthering our healing ministry to provide the highest quality of care to all, regardless of ability to pay.
Avera Foundation takes part in this annual worldwide campaign dedicated to volunteering and donating to meaningful causes. Those who want to support the patients and families served by Avera have multiple ways to give to the foundation through this campaign.
