We Care, Pink Hair

Join us in showing support for cancer patients and their families by donating and getting a pink or purple hair extension.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Avera Foundation’s annual “We Care, Pink Hair” events in October directly support cancer patients and their families. Anyone can donate and receive a colorful hair extension at participating locations.

Making Donations to Cancer Care

All proceeds stay local and benefit patients and families at Avera Cancer Institute. Appointments preferred. Call ahead to schedule yours. Walk-ins are welcome as time allows.

Suggested donation: $10 or more

  • Payment options: cash, credit card, cash, Venmo, Apple and Google Pay
  • Hair extensions will be available in multiple colors.
  • The appointment takes five minutes.

Hair extension color meaning:

  • Pink symbolizes support for breast cancer.
  • Purple represents overall cancer awareness.
